Well, it's been an interesting week here in Campbell County. Can't say that it's been quiet...plenty of sneezing and coughing at home with a sick wife. That always sucks....as if I'm not sleep-deprived enough already.....oh well. I'm a glutton for punishment I guess.
Monday.....wow. I was under the impression I was going to have Jury Duty. Turned out, there was this number I was to call the night before I was assigned to show in order to know if I'm really needed. I got the day off and any changes to that required a 24-hour notice. I called around 11:30 pm Sunday night and found out that I wasn't to show up and that I would receive a notice in the mail for the next "date of service." That really pissed me off! I missed a good day of work. I just decided to make the most of it and chill out.
Tuesday-I go into work and find out that Kevin got his ass kicked the day before. It was the beginning of summer intern season at P&G. He said he did about 50 badges....damn. I thought I had busy days. What is it with these people anyway? Who the fuck would wait that damn long in line to get a badge? Oh well....if the procedure works, then let it ride. I kinda had a busy day myself...putting clearances on badges that Kevin missed. Got to see plenty of beautiful summer interns. Also got the usual contractor crowds. Tuesday is definitely the busiest day of the week for me. When I got over the the garage and spoke with Jenny, she could tell I had quite the day. I'll tell my readers that the crowds made my day go by faster.
Writer's block really sucks. Tuesday pretty much describes the rest of the work week for me.
Saturday-just chilled out until it was time to get some nice new clothes for our niece's baptism on Memorial Day weekend. Got some new shoes too.
Sunday-just chilled out. Got groceries later that evening. Melanie failed on several occasions to cover her mouth when she sneezed and coughed and now I'm sick. Not too sick to miss work, though. Takes a lot for that.
Well, that's the news from Campbell County....where all the drivers are slow....the police are bored....and half the high school kids are high on marijuana....until next week!!
